According to ESPN Milwaukee, Greg Jennings (groin) left Green Bay Tuesday to get another opinion on his injury from a specialist.
Perhaps Jennings isn't close to a return after all. The need to seek out another opinion three weeks after his most recent aggravation suggests that his rehabilitation is not on the right track. ESPN Milwaukee now speculates that Jennings could be held out through the Week 10 bye. The white-hot Packers offense will be content to give Jennings all the time he needs with Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb all playing at an extremely high level.

Panthers MLB Jon Beason said he's likely going to have season-ending knee surgery early next week.
Beason hasn't played since Week 4. "I've been pretty banged up, it's been week to week," he said Tuesday. "And we decided to take another look at the knee, see what's going on. [I] got the MRI yesterday and it didn't look good." It's the second straight year Beason will end up on season-ending injured reserve. Last year, he tore his Achilles' tendon in Week 1. The Panthers will turn to stud first-round rookie and natural middle linebacker Luke Kuechly now. Kuechly has 26 tackles, one interception and one breakup in his last two games.

The Buffalo News reports Bills LE Mario Williams is contemplating undergoing surgery on his sprained left wrist.
It's unclear how extensive of an operation Williams is considering, or how much time he might miss. Although he wasn't listed on the injury report until two weeks ago, Williams is believed to have been playing through the ailment for most, if not all, of the season. In year one of the most lucrative contract ever given to a defensive player, Williams has just 3.5 sacks through seven games despite playing a monster 425 snaps. A prolonged absence would further doom the Bills' moribund defense, and perhaps seal DC Dave Wannstedt's fate as a one-and-done coordinator.

Jones-Drew met with the media Wednesday while wearing a boot and is using a cart to get around the Jaguars' facility. The lack of a concrete target date suggests a complicated sprain inside his foot. Earlier Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Jones-Drew is "going to miss at least a couple games, maybe 3-4 games." Rashad Jennings projects as a workhorse for the foreseeable future.

Trent Richardson (ribs) participated in Wednesday morning's walkthrough.
The Browns are taking the situation day-by-day. Coach Pat Shurmur confirmed that Richardson did not suffer any kind of setback last week and said if the first-round rookie is healthy, he'll play against the Chargers Sunday. Now, the question is if Shurmur will actually deem Richardson "healthy." He was benched Sunday for running tentatively on those balky ribs.

Browns placed SLB Scott Fujita (neck) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Fujita's career is in doubt. He sustained a "shoulder" against the Giants in Week 5, but it was later revealed that he's having neck issues. Fujita's 11th NFL season ends with 14 tackles and one sack in four games. He'll be an unrestricted free agent in the spring.

Jordy Nelson was added to Wednesday's injury report after his hamstring "tightened up" in practice.

Coach Chan Gailey announced at Wednesday's presser that LE Mario Williams underwent a "procedure" on his ailing left wrist, but is expected to resume practicing following the Bills' Week 8 bye.
"Mario will be back to practice next week, that's what I expect," Gailey said. The Bills have clearly dodged a bullet with their $96 million man, but it's far from a given a cleanup procedure will cure what's been ailing his game. Williams has placed a large amount of the blame for his slow start (3.5 sacks in seven games) on his wrist. The Bills will visit Williams' former home Houston in Week 9.

Joe McKnight (ankle) was held out of Wednesday's practice.
McKnight is day-to-day after coming down with renewed soreness following Sunday's game. After playing hurt in Week 7, he should be able to do so again in Week 8.

Jets RB Bilal Powell (shoulder) was held out of Wednesday's practice.
The Jets have been targeting Sunday for Powell's return, but that just got a whole lot less realistic. With Shonn Greene on a mini-tear of late, Gang Green doesn't need to rush his backup. That being said, Greene should be in for a rude awakening against the Dolphins' tough run defense this Sunday.

Jimmy Graham (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
According to coach Joe Vitt, Graham was limited to "land-based" activities, and "ran routes on air." Whatever that means. However, Vitt did add Graham looked "very, very good." Beat writer Mike Triplett believes Graham "still seems questionable," but is "obviously getting closer to a return." It's not a slam dunk that Graham is ready for Sunday's showdown with the Broncos

Jonathan Dwyer missed Wednesday's practice for "personal reasons."
Dwyer isn't hurt, and with Rashard Mendenhall and Ike Redman both failing to suit up Wednesday, he's currently in line for another start.

Redman is expected to practice at some point between now and the weekend, but his Week 8 isn't off to a good start. With Rashard Mendenhall also not practicing this afternoon, things are looking good for Jonathan Dwyer

As did Isaac Redman (ankle). Jonathan Dwyer was also missing, but his absence was for "personal reasons." Coach Mike Tomlin believes both Mendenhall and Redman could be ready to return this weekend, but the early signs certainly suggest another heavy workload for Dwyer.

Redskins ILB London Fletcher is dealing with a "balance problem" in addition to his hamstring injury, and will undergo "neurological tests."
Fletcher was held out of Wednesday's practice. A "balance problem" would suggest a concussion, but the Redskins haven't uttered the C-word since Sunday's loss. Regardless, Fletcher's Week 8 status is now in real jeopardy, and it's looking more likely than not his 231 consecutive games played streak will come to an end.

Brandon Bolden (knee) was held out of Wednesday's practice.

The Washington Times reports Pierre Garcon has been diagnosed with a "plantar plate tear in his right foot," but remains week-to-week.
Essentially, Garcon's status is unchanged. "(Pierre) was sore when I talked to him (Tuesday)," coach Mike Shanahan said. "He said it hadn’t improved at all. ... I’m taking this day-by-day, listen to the doctors, see what they recommend, and obviously I’m not going to force somebody to play if the doctors don’t think he is ready." Garcon sounds all but certain to be sidelined through Washington's Week 10 bye, and it's far from a guarantee he'll be ready to return in Week 11
