According to ProFootballTalk, Fred Davis is done for the season after tearing his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's Week 7 game against the Giants.

Sources tell USA Today that Pierre Garcon has a torn tendon in his foot and could sit out through the Redskins' Week 10 bye.
Previously, we only knew about the inflamed capsule in Garcon's troublesome right foot. Now we know it's more serious than that.


Trent Richardson told reporters following Sunday's loss that his rib cartilage injury is worse than people think.
"The injury I have is much bigger than what folks think it is, and I don’t want to do anything to hurt the team," said Richardson, who conceded coach Pat Shurmur did the "smart" thing by benching him at halftime against the Colts. "I’m not myself out there right now. You look at me, I guess I’m not running hard like I’m used to, so I’m not out there right now.

Jones-Drew (left foot) was not in uniform and sported crutches as he made his way to the sideline during Sunday's game against the Raiders, the Jaguars' official site reports.

Impacts: Not good news for the Jags as they return to action following their bye. Jones-Drew finished the game with two carries for six yards, with Rashad Jennings having taken over at running back for the team. For now, consider MJD iffy for Week 8's contest against the Packers.

Felix Jones sat out the majority of the Cowboys' final two Week 7 drives due to a bruised knee.
"Fragile" Felix lived up to his nickname Sunday. He sustained a neck strain on the second play from scrimmage and then gave way to Phillip Tanner late thanks to the knee issue.

DeMarco Murray (foot) will have more tests Monday.
Murray and the Cowboys are both hopeful that the starting running back will be able to play against the Giants in Week 8.

Doctors have told Pierre Garcon that his foot injury can't get better without rest.
The torn tendon in Garcon's foot makes it hard for him to explode and and reach top-end speed. He's expected to rest through the Redskins' Week 10 bye and target a Week 11 game against the Eagles for his return. Garcon, who signed a $42.5 million contract in March, has just eight catches on the season due to the injury.

Chargers placed K Nate Kaeding on injured reserve with a groin injury, ending his season.
Per the Union-Tribune San Diego, the Bolts are required to release Kaeding with an injury settlement once he's healthy, so he should be kicking elsewhere before the season is through. Nick Novak is now locked into kicking duties in San Diego. In the final season of a seven-year contract, Kaeding was once one of the league's top kickers, but has proven far too injury prone for a specialist.

Coach Leslie Frazier confirmed Carlson is experiencing concussion-like symptoms and "probably won't play" as he goes through NFL protocol testing. Coach Joe Vitt says the Saints "feel good" about Jimmy Graham's (ankle) Week 8 status.
Graham won't test his ankle before Wednesday's practice, but he must have been close to suiting up for Sunday's win over the Bucs. Now over two weeks removed from injuring his ankle against the Chargers, Graham can be tentatively expected to return against the Broncos

Eagles LT Jason Peters (Achilles', PUP) was spotted by reporters Monday going through agility drills "gingerly" with team trainers.
Jeff McLane of the Philly Inquirer observed Peters running "half-speed" at one point. The Eagles have until Week 9 to decide whether to activate Peters from the PUP list, and would get a three-week window from that point to decide whether he's well enough to play in games. Coach Andy Reid recently told reporters that Peters is "not close" to returning. We're not betting on a 2012 comeback.

Panthers placed LCB Chris Gamble on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.
Gamble needs surgery. Coming off a strong 2011, Gamble hadn't been as effective this season, but is still easily the Panthers' top cornerback, and had typically been squaring off with opponents' No. 1 receivers. He went down in Week 4. Sporting a bottom-14 pass defense, the Panthers will now be forced to go with Captain Munnerlyn and rookie Josh Norman at corner, with Josh Thomas likely manning the slot. It's not good news for a team that just fired its GM. Five months shy of his 30th birthday, Gamble has two seasons left on a six-year deal.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Packers FS Charles Woodson will miss six weeks with a fractured collarbone.
Although Woodson's on-field performance has declined in his age-36 season, the Packers figure to keep him on their weekly inactives list rather than place the future Hall of Famer on year-ending injured reserve. Despite the fall-off in play from recent years, Woodson has graded out positively as a pass defender and particularly as a run defender according to Pro Football Focus. Transitioning to free safety from cornerback, Woodson has 38 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception through seven starts. In a best case scenario from the six-week timetable, Woodson would return in Week 14.

Updating a previous item, Browns coach Pat Shurmur stated Monday that Trent Richardson's rib-cartilage injury will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis, and Shurmur isn't ruling out giving Richardson a week off.
"You just watch him practice and see where he's at physically," said Shurmur. "If he's ready to play, he'll play. If we see this is bothering him to the point where he can't perform, then we'll make those decisions as we go." Shurmur praised Richardson as a "warrior" who was begging to reenter Sunday's loss to the Colts after being benched at halftime, but Shurmur never let him back in. Expect another questionable listing on the Week 8 injury report.
