First Coast News reports Julius Thomas is drawing trade interest from at least one team in addition to the Dolphins.
This could be the Jags trying to drive up the price on Miami, but it's becoming increasingly clear Thomas isn't long for Jacksonville. If a trade cannot be hammered out, Thomas will likely be cut. That would create $1.7 million in cap space, but also leave behind $6.6 million in dead money.

Victor Cruz - WR - Free Agent

The Black and Blue Review reports free agent Victor Cruz visited the Panthers over the weekend.
Other reports have the visit as happening on Monday. Per reporter Bill Voth, Cruz met with GM Dave Gettleman. Voth reports at least one other team is interested. The visit comes three days after ESPN's David Newton speculated the Panthers could have interest. Cruz came up with the Giants while Gettleman was still with the organization. The Panthers need receiving help, but it's unclear if 30-year-old Cruz could really help anyone at this point.

Jared Odrick - DL - Free Agent

Jaguars released DE Jared Odrick.
The move creates $8.5 million in cap space. It was frankly a no-brainer. Odrick, who turned 29 in December, struggled through injury last season, and has only 7.5 sacks over his past 38 games. ESPN also recently reported the team and Odrick had "minor friction" regarding his training and rehab methods. The Jags have lots of expensive talent up front, and could afford to move on. Although a high-snap player from 2012-15, Odrick could be viewed as more of a situational talent on the open market. He does offer versatility as someone capable of playing both end and tackle.

Dion Sims - TE - Dolphins

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are hoping to re-sign impending free agent TE Dion Sims.
Sims would be a worthwhile insurance policy for newly-acquired Julius Thomas, who has sat out 11 games over his two seasons. The question is whether Sims would be willing to return as a backup. Primarily a blocking tight end, Sims caught 26 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns last season.

James Harrison - LB - Steelers

The Steelers are interested in re-signing impending free agent OLB James Harrison.
Apparently the feeling is mutual. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's just "a matter of time" until the sides agree to a new contract. Going on 39, Harrison was a beast last season, grading out as PFF's eighth-best 3-4 outside linebacker.

DeForest Buckner - DL - 49ers

GM John Lynch considers DeForest Buckner and Arik Armstead strong fits for the 49ers' new 4-3 scheme.
Armstead and Buckner were both brought in as 3-4 defensive ends but Lynch expects both players to thrive under new DC Robert Saleh. "I’m excited to cut them loose," said Lynch. "I think these are guys who fit what we’re going to do very well. We’re excited about it." Lynch expects the Niners to be more aggressive under Saleh after playing in more of a "read-and-react" defense last season.

DeSean Jackson - WR - Redskins

Impending free agent DeSean Jackson was impressed by Carson Wentz's performance as a rookie.
"He killed it," said Jackson. "He had a heck of a year. He showed he can do it all. He has the intangibles of being a big-time quarterback." Jackson thinks he still has 4-6 good years left in him and wouldn't mind ending his career where it started. "I mean, it’s definitely a great story and ending," said Jackson when asked about a return to Philadelphia. "It all sounds good, but you never know until the final decision is made." The Eagles, Buccaneers and Rams should be among Jackson's top suitors when he hits the open market.

Mike Tolbert - RB - Free Agent

Panthers released FB Mike Tolbert.
The move frees up $1.725 million in cap space. Tolbert had a good run in Carolina, earning three Pro Bowl nods in five seasons. Fullbacks are a dying breed in the NFL but Tolbert should land on his feet. The 31-year-old logged 114 rushing yards on 35 carries last year while adding 10 catches for 72 yards and one touchdown.

Nick Fairley - DL - Saints

ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett expects impending free agent Nick Fairley to land a multi-year deal in the range of $6-9 million annually.
That's a fairly (no pun intended) wide range but as Triplett points out, Fairley's value is "tough to gauge." Fairley earned a $3 million base salary last season, though incentives increased that total to $4.5 million. Either way, it looks like Fairley is in for a nice raise after setting career-highs with 6.5 sacks and 43 tackles in 2016. The Saints have two promising young defensive tackles in Sheldon Rankins and David Onyemata, which could make Fairley expendable.

D.J. Hayden - DB - Raiders

ESPN's Paul Gutierrez does not expect impending free agent CB D.J. Hayden to re-sign with the Raiders.
Hayden might have had his best season in 2016 playing primarily in the slot, but he still was a below-average starter who managed just 11 games before landing on injured reserve. It is extremely unlikely Hayden will ever live up to his first-round cost, but a change of scenery could do him some good.

Paul Soliai - DL - Free Agent

Panthers released DT Paul Soliai.
The move saves $2.5 million against the salary cap. Signed to a two-year deal last March, Soliai played 152 mostly ineffective snaps over 10 games in Carolina. If the 33-year-old intends to continue his career, he will likely have to settle for one-year offers in the second or third wave of free agency.

Tyrod Taylor - QB - Bills

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports there is a "better chance" the Bills keep Tyrod Taylor than not.
Rapoport made the comment while talking about potential landing spots for Tony Romo. Bleacher Report's Ty Dunne, who is a former Buffalo reporter, guessed the Bills would move on last week, so this situation seems to be truly up in the air. Buffalo will commit to $30.75 million guaranteed over two years to Taylor if they pick up his option.

Brandin Cooks - WR - Saints

Saints coach Sean Payton said he "absolutely" expects Brandin Cooks to return in 2017.
There had been chatter Cooks would be traded after making noise about his role during the season, but it never seemed particularly likely. Along with Michael Thomas and Willie Snead, Cooks gives the Saints' potent offense one of the best receiver groups in the league. New Orleans is expected to pick up his fifth-year option this offseason.

Andrus Peat - T - Saints

The Times-Picayune's Larry Holder believes Saints LG Andrus Peat is still Zach Strief's future replacement at right tackle.
Strief is fully expected to return in 2017, but he will turn 34 in September and has only two years left on his deal. With RG Jahri Evans also going on 34 and headed for free agency, the Saints need to be looking at long-term answers on the right side. LT Terron Armstead's health also has to be a concern after he managed just seven games in 2016, and C Max Unger will turn 31 in April. It is not a primary need, but the Saints have some work to do on the offensive line.

Bennie Logan - DL - Eagles

Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer guesses the Eagles will not re-sign impending free agent DT Bennie Logan.
The Eagles certainly would like to keep Logan around, but Berman thinks he will get a better deal elsewhere. Philly has a lot of money already invested in the defensive line, and they have much more pressing needs at corner and receiver. Logan has been linked with the Redskins.
