Reggie Bush - RB - Dolphins

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have yet to make free agent Reggie Bush an offer.
There's still over a month to go before the start of free agency, but it's a poor sign for Bush's Dolphins future. The local consensus has been that Bush will be offered a "team-friendly" deal, but allowed to reach the open market. CBS' Jason La Canfora has reported Bush is "highly unlikely" to be back. The way things are trending, Bush's "team-friendly" offer may never even materialize.

Jermichael Finley - TE - Packers

Jermichael Finley puts his chances of remaining in Green Bay at "50/50."
"I would love to stay there," he said. "There's no doubt that I want to be there for life. But it's a business and the business will tell you otherwise." CBS' Jason La Canfora has reported Finley is not expected back, but a league source tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel it's a "coin flip." The Green Bay Press-Gazette postulated in January that Finley would "almost certainly" be back. Finley is owed a $3.5 million roster bonus in March, so his future will become crystal clear in a matter of weeks.

Jason Garrett - OT - Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insists he's "excited" about coach Jason Garrett, and remains bullish on him "for years to come."
Jones made the comments in a video meant to dispel the notion that it was Jones — and not his head coach — who was behind the Cowboys' assistant coaching overhaul and stripping of Garrett's playcalling duties. "He did the evaluations," Jones insisted. "He basically said, ‘Jerry here’s who I want to get.’" Right. Garrett's seat will be perhaps the hottest in the league entering 2013.

Nnamdi Asomugha - DB - Eagles

TheSidelineView.com's Adam Caplan "wouldn't rule (out)" the Eagles keeping RCB Nnamdi Asomugha if he's amenable to a sizable pay-cut.
Caplan is in disagreement with CSN Philly's Geoff Mosher, who believes not even a restructure would be enough to save Asomugha in Philadelphia. Asomugha has been one of the league's most disappointing players the past two seasons, and emblematic of the downfall of the Andy Reid era in Philly. We'd guess both sides want a fresh start.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - DB - Eagles

TheSidelineView.com's Adam Caplan "would be surprised" if the Eagles re-signed free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
However, Caplan says he's not entirely ruling it out. DRC has been a bust since arriving in the Kevin Kolb trade, notching just three interceptions in 29 games while grading out very poorly in Pro Football Focus' ratings. Still just 27 (in April) and a 16-game starter three of the past four seasons, DRC is going to be looking for top dollar on the open market.

Joe Flacco - QB - Ravens

According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens are "debating between" using the exclusive-rights franchise tag or non-exclusive tag on free agent Joe Flacco.
The "exclusive" tag is rarely used, but it's what the Saints slapped on Drew Brees last year. Players are allowed to negotiate with other teams under the non-exclusive tag, but the tagging team can match any offer, and receives two first-round picks as compensation if it decides to pass. Exclusively tagged players can only negotiate with the tagging team. Flacco would earn an eye-popping $20.5 million under the exclusive tag, compared to "only" $14.6 million under the non-exclusive tag. Considering the number of quarterback-needy teams around the league, we'd expect Baltimore to play it safe and use the exclusive tag. TheSidelineView.com's Adam Caplan believes other teams would pursue Flacco if the Ravens applied the non-exclusive franchise tag.

Alex Smith - QB - 49ers

ESPN's John Clayton believes Alex Smith would make a "beeline" to the Cardinals if granted his release instead of being traded.
Clayton also expects the Browns to be the "most interested" in a potential trade. Clayton appears to be expressing more his gut feeling than an actual sourced report, but both Arizona and Cleveland figure to leave no stone left unturned in their search for a quarterback. However, the weak-armed Smith is a poor fit with new Cardinals coach Bruce Arians on paper, as Arians is among the league's most ardent believers in the deep ball

Michael Vick - QB - Eagles

According to CBS, new Eagles coach Chip Kelly "likes the idea" of keeping Michael Vick at a reduced salary, but "genuinely doesn't know" what he has in him.
Per a "person familiar with the Eagles' thinking," Kelly believes Vick remains "more than a viable thrower," but is spooked by his injury history and turnover rate. All of this is predictable, but what isn't is Vick's amenability to a pay-cut. The Eagles have cap space to spare, but the movement to keep Vick won't get far if he's unwilling to take a dramatic reduction in his $15.5 million salary.

Jammal Brown - T - Redskins

CSN Washington reports Redskins RT Jammal Brown's contract will automatically void on Friday, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Brown was thought to be due $3.5 million after missing all of 2012 with a hip injury, but that's not the case. Injured on the eve of training camp, the eight-year veteran was ruled out for the season in late November. The move reportedly frees up $1.3 million in cap space for the cap-strapped Redskins. Brown started 26 games between 2010-11. Finding offensive line depth should be a priority for the Redskins this offseason.

Michael Griffin - DB - Titans

Titans FS Michael Griffin will not be asked to restructure his contract.
The Titans had a five-day window after the Super Bowl to get out of Griffin's $4.5 million in guarantees, but will keep him on the roster as is. Coming off a hugely disappointing season, Griffin is entering only the second year of a five-year, $35 million pact. He'll have to be much better next season to have any shot at collecting his currently scheduled $6.2 million in 2014.

Ed Reed - DB - Ravens

GM Ozzie Newsome is optimistic the Ravens will re-sign free agent Ed Reed.
"I think he realizes there may be some other options out there, but I think if you watched him, if you watched his body language over the course of the last eight to 10 days that he loves being here in Baltimore," Newsome said Thursday. "And I think we can use that to help make that relationship last a little bit longer." Newsome hinted the franchise tag will not be an option for Reed, meaning any deal would likely be a 2-3 year pact. There's a real chance Reed leaves, but it's far from a certainty.

Todd Bowles - DT - Cardinals

New Cardinals DC Todd Bowles will employ a 3-4 base defense.
It's the same scheme the Cardinals used under former DC Ray Horton, and still the best fit for their current personnel. Bowles has pledged not to make "dramatic changes" to a unit that ranked 12th in yards against last season. That's probably a good idea for the first-year coordinator, who struggled to adjust on the fly as the Eagles' interim defensive boss in 2012.

Matthew Stafford - QB - Lions

According to Lions GM Martin Mayhew, there hasn't been a "whole lot of dialog" about extending Matthew Stafford's contract, but it remains a priority.
It's a priority because Stafford is currently set to count a staggering $20.82 million against the cap. Stafford is also only signed through 2015, while the going rate for franchise quarterbacks is continuing to skyrocket. A major discount is unlikely, but locking Stafford up coming off a down season should be a calculated risk worth taking for the Lions.

Jets

The Jets can clear $27.7 million in cap space by releasing ILB Bart Scott, OLB Calvin Pace and OT Jason Smith.
Beat writer Manish Mehta considers it a matter of "when," not if, they make the moves. This is surely part of the salary-cap masterplan deposed GM Mike Tannenbaum has been referring to in interviews. Mehta expects 2012 third-rounder Demario Davis to take Scott's place in the starting lineup. S Eric Smith is also a candidate for release.
