Pa njegova izjava je bila da bi sve dao da može odigrati još jednu utakmicu sa svojim Buckeyes-ima. Mogao je. Ali je novac NFL-a slađi. I donio je pravu odluku. - New England will forfeit their fourth-round selection as punishment for the team's Deflategate scandal. The team also forfeited a 2016 first-round selection.[source 17]
- The New York Giants were penalized for illegal use of a walkie-talkie on their sideline during week 14 of the 2016 season. As punishment, the Giants were fined $150,000 and their fourth-round selection will be moved to the back of the fourth round, after all of the compensatory draft picks (but no more than 12 picks after where their pick would have been positioned).[source 18]
- Seattle will forfeit their fifth-round selection for violating the NFL's collective bargaining agreement regarding off-season workout policies.[source 19]
- Kansas City will forfeit their sixth-round selection for violating the NFL's Anti-Tampering policy during the 2015 free agency period. The team also forfeited a 2016 third-round selection
