Why is he in demand?
Evans' potential as a No. 1 receiver has created a buzz around the league due to recent dominance of big-bodied receivers. Last season, six of the top seven receivers in the NFL measured in at 6-foot-3 or taller, and recorded impressive size-speed measurements at their respective workouts prior to entering the league. With Evans' athletic qualifications on par with some of the elite receivers in the game, teams are poised to target the Texas A&M star as a potential difference maker in the passing game. While most observers assume Sammy Watkins would be the player of choice for teams in need of a No. 1 receiver, instincts indicate that Evans' superior size and ball skills could make him a more desirable commodity on draft day.

The second overall pick for the second consecutive year could be an offensive tackle from Texas A&M.

Last year, the Jaguars took Luke Joeckel second overall. This year, the Rams may take Jake Matthews with the No. 2 pick. That’s the prediction from Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, who predicts that the Rams will draft Matthews. (Thomas is operating under the assumption that the Texans will take Jadeveon Clowney first overall.)

Rams coach Jeff Fisher previously coached Jake’s Hall of Fame father, Bruce Matthews, and Fisher said, “I think Jake’s got some similar traits.”

“He appears to be as competitive as his dad,” Fisher said. “His dad, if he was in this room, he would be doing something of a competitive nature.”

For his part, Matthews said he “would love to play for” Fisher. He may get that opportunity.

Brandon Thomas - G - Player

Clemson T/G Brandon Thomas tore his ACL during pre-draft training last week.
It's a disappointing blow for one of our favorite O-Line prospects in this draft. Thomas manhandled Jadeveon Clowney in Clemson's 2013 matchup with South Carolina, and was a 36-game starter on Tajh Boyd's blind side. He was a sleeper to be drafted in the first round. Thomas won't be available for his rookie NFL season, though some teams may now view him as a "value" pick.

Evo ja stvarno priznajem da nemam pojma sa ovom igrom. Trpaju Giantsima CB u prvoj rundi na jedno dve trećine mockova a mi CB-ova imamo na izvoz nakon ovog Free agency-ja.

ekipi se nekoj svidi neki igrac , oni ce pokusati doci do njega kako mogu. racunaju da ce im doneti odmah kvalitet makar se odrekli nekog pika u narednim periodu. imali smo slucaju kada se Was svideo RGIII i ljudi su procenili da je lik kvalitet koji ce prevagnuti u narednom periodu. bole ih za draft uzece nesto na fa pijaci. isto tako je i Atlanta za Hulia Dzonsa pre neku godinu.

ako je recimo korner koji treba NYG takav da odmah bude starter a da je on izrazito bolji od nekih drugih koji su dostupni oni napadaju.

ma razumem ja to, ali ovde je priča o mockovima stručnjaka koji Giantsima daju CB sa njihove regularne 12. pozicije, znači nije reč o tome da se "izvrnu džepovi i sve iz njih istrese" za igrača koji bi se dopao Gm-u i koji bi po običnim smrtnicima skrivenim računicama mogao doneti kvalitet, nego ćutiš i čekaš da bi birao igrača na poziciji gde si doveo trojicu tokom FA.

Mislim, mogu isto tako i da uzmu, šta ja znam, nekogo od ovih QB-ova u prvoj rundi, jebiga, valja se, Neće Ilija biti mlad i potentan još sto godina.

Jagsi i ako budu uzimali QB nesto nisam siguran da ce to biti Dzoni, pogotovu ne aa no.3 .

pre vidim Tedija u Jax nego Dzonija.

Meni sve nesto sumnjivo sa tim QB u prvoj rundi, ili im je odlican  

Danas bio LSU Pro Day. Baciću oko na to, siguran sam da je Pejton bacio oko na neke igrače, a možda nekog pokupimo u prvoj rundi.

Nama predviđaju risivera. I ja to priželjkujem samo Marqise Lee neće pasti toliko nisko, prije će on ići Džetsima, a Odell Beckham bi mogao nama, ja ništa ne bih imao protiv.

If the Lions have genuine interest in trading up for Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins, they’re doing a bad job of hiding it. If they’re not interested, they’ve put together a potent smokescreen.

Regardless, the chatter is growing that the Lions could make a move for a wideout who would instantly give Detroit arguably the top one-two-three punch at the position: Watkins, Calvin Johnson, and Golden Tate.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press writes that there’s a “growing sense” in league circles that the Lions are willing to make the move. But they may have to move all the way up to No. 2 to get Watkins, and unless they’d be equally happy to take defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, they’ll need to wait until the Rams are on the clock in order to avoid being leapfrogged for Watkins.

If Watkins goes No. 1, he’d be only the third wideout taken first overall since 1984, when the Pats took Irving Fryar. Twelve years later, the Jets selected Keyshawn Johnson with the first overall selection.

Calvin Johnson, in hindsight, should have been the No. 1 pick seven years ago. Detroit’s interest in Watkins, if real, suggests that the Lions see the day coming when Johnson’s cap number exceeds his lingering abilities. Until then, the Lions could have the best trio of wideouts the NFL since the days of Randy Moss, Cris Carter, and Jake Reed.
