Newly acquired LT Levi Brown injured his triceps in warmups ahead of Sunday's game at the Jets and is not expected to play.
Brown missed all of 2012 with a torn right triceps. It's unclear if this is the same injury, but it obviously bodes poorly for the Steelers, who had to reshuffle their offensive line in pre-game warmups. Mike Adams will presumably be reinstalled at left tackle. The Steelers traded a conditional late-round draft pick to the Cardinals to acquire Brown on October 2. After a Week 5 bye, this was going to be his Pittsburgh debut.
According to CBS Sports, several teams are preparing trade offers for Giants WR Hakeem Nicks.
With the Giants at 0-6 and Nicks' contract up after this year, GM Jerry Reese should be open to dealing. Jason La Canfora hears the G-Men could get a third-round pick for their talented 25-year-old wideout, even if it's just a "rental" for the rest of this season. Teams reportedly holding internal discussions include the 49ers and Falcons, while the Patriots, Lions and Ravens could also show interest.
